There are two types of uses for Elevation Certificates:
Existing Structure
This certificate is normally used to reduce existing insurance to get new insurance on an existing structure, or to prove that the existing structure is not within the floodplain.
New Construction
This certificate is used when building a new structure within the flood plain. The new structure must be built one foot or greater above the floodplain elevation. A substantial amount in premiums can be saved when building higher than one foot above the floodplain.
It is recommended, that we be contacted prior to any commencement of site work on your property.
